Q: What?
A: PCNow service from WebEx. WebEx is a company of network giant Cisco.
Q: What can you do with PCNow?
A: PCNow will enable iPhone users to access desktop PC files, desktop search tools, Outlook corporate mail, contacts and appointments from their handsets via the phone's Safari browser, according to the firm.
Q: What is so special?
A: You don't have to ask your system administrator to open firewall rules for you. All you need is internet access from your home or work PC. Everything is parsed on port 80 or 443, which are the http and https defaults.
Q: What is so special 2?
A: The service also comes with SkypeOut functionality which allows users to make outbound calls even if their mobiles are not supported by the Skype mobile client. International calls for a few pennies!!
Q: What is a good businness case to justify this solution?
A: "We are introducing changes so that users can access emails as well as contacts, appointments and desktop PC files whilst on the move, via our secure MediaTone network." quoted WebEx's European vice president, Bert van der Zwan.
Q: How much?
A: Around 9.95euro a month for 1 PC. There is a 30 free trial available here
Help us: Please post your PCNow experiences here. We are really curious if this solution is good and worth for the money.

Hi,
Just tried the free trial from a normal PC (don't have an iPhone yet) to take over my other "remote" PC. Everything is working fine. didn't had to change firewall. I am also interested in iPhone experiences working on the move while remote using your office PC. especially the skype function, does it work wel???
MyToGo for Skype allows ANY Phone to gain access to Skype calling services, this includes calling Skype Names for FREE, checking Skype Voice Mail for FREE as well as using Skype rates for both local and long distance calling, and does not require any software to be installed on the phone. MyToGo for Skype is FREE as well, for more information please go here:

Hi zoverlord,
Does MyToGo provide a stable voip signal on my mobile? I want to have a uninterrupted conversation like a normal mobile phonecall. Most of the solutions today are very dependent on your carriers bandwidth.
cheers,
