Finally! Today an IT&T visitor gave me this tip of WinAdmin. This tool was already for some time around but we did not notice it, caused by the huge numbers of App Store apps. [I wanted it last year too, read THIS older RDP post]. So what is WinAdmin exactly? WinAdmin is a native remote desktop client. With this App Store tool, you can take over desktops of bigg-ass windows servers from your iPhone, as if you were sitting behind those bigg-ass machines. It may be a business case for Windows administrators. 'Boss, I need an iPhone to remotely manage my servers from anywhere like from the beach' [see picture]. The current version is available at the US iTunes App Store for $11.99. I could not find it in the Canadian nor in the UK iTunes store. I wonder why? The features are rich: Scroll and Pan accros the desktop just by dragging the screen. Zoom in and out by pinching and stretching gestures. Switch from portrait to landscape mode by flipping the iPhone (or iPod). Tap for singe click, double tap for double click. Tap and hold to perform reight mouse click. etc etc. The reviews on the App Store average 4of 5 stars and positive. Please have a look at the screenshorts. This is just great!

Awesomeeeeeee!
ReplyDeleteIt's just a shame it's not in the UK iTunes App stores!
ReplyDeleteWhen does it appear in the Non-US appstores?
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't it there already?
I wanna buy this app NOW! :-)
Thank you, I have been waiting for this before buying an iphone since it's the only app I actually need. I tried RDM+ on my brothers iphone and was unimpressed. Will post an update on how the RDP works compared to my old Treo with Windows Mobile 6.0.
