“A team from the New York Times has been working in Apple’s Cupertino, Calif. headquarters in recent weeks, developing a large-screen version of the newspaper’s iPhone application that incorporates video for the yet-to-be-unveiled device, according to one person with knowledge of the matter,” The Los Angeles Times reports.

For people who lives in-or have plans to visit and play golf in the Netherlands there is good news. An app called Golfcourses [$1,99 App Store] has just hit the app store this week. The funny thing is, the idea to create this app is from a friend of mine, Willem from golfivents, and golf is one of his greatest passions. When you start the app, it will list the nearest golfcourses. Pick one course you like and it will tell you if you are qualified to play as a guest. There are many golfcourses in the world where the "weekends" are members only. Also it tells you how much the greenfee charge is. Rates varies from 20 - 120 euro's. hmm Helmond GC weekend fee is very low:) Some neat features are google maps and a phone links - tap the phone number and it wil call reservations.
