| Where is the "Groups" button in Contacts app in iOS 5? |
A: This is the solution that just works for me. I found out that in iOS 4, the function was working well. Also the "Contacts" option in your mail account configuration screen is set to "OFF". The only thing I have to do is switch this option to 'ON' in iOS 5.
| I just have flipped it to 'ON' and BAM! Groups button came available instantly in Contacts app with iOS 5 |
What then happens is magical: In the Contacts app, watch the left-upper screen corner. A new "Groups" button appears.
When you tap on it, the available address lists appears to be selected. Select the one you want and search the contact of that particular list. Bam! It just work!

Yes, but it also syncs all your phone contacts with your exchage account... not what most people who had that option turned off in iOS4 would want.

Thank you for your addition. You are correct. Your personal contact list which was also kept with your exchange account is searchable. In iOS4 that was for many users to leave the option OFF. In iOS 5 it has obviously combined both GAL an PAL behind this Contacts ON/OFF switch
